Medical Records

The practice now used EMIS Web. The system is regularly updated and is electronically linked to the PCSS, Croydon University Hospital and the National (NHS Data) Spine.

All medical records are kept on the computer and the paper notes are summarised into the system. Letters and email from hospitals and clinics are scanned into the computer and an image of the original letter is filed electronically. Hospital test results arrive at the surgery electronically and are automatically filed into the system. Doctors read and act on all correspondence received on a daily basis.

In consultation, all the records are entered into the computer which is the only record maintained by the Practice. The information is printed out completely and forwarded to your new GP if you move to a new Practice.

Dr Baskaran & Partners aims to treat our patients courteously at all times and expect our patients to treat out staff in a similarly respectful way. We take seriously any threatening, abusive or violent behaviour against any of our staff or patients. If a patient is violent or abusive, they will be warned to stop their behaviour. If they persist, we may exercise our right to take action to have them removed, immediately if necessary from our list of patients.
